Bridget Mary Brenda McCann was born in 1958 in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
She studied at the "Dun Laoghaire School of Art and Design" with specialisations: sculpture and graphics.
In Nederland she studied at the "Hogeschool voor de Kunsten", where she received a 1st-degree for teaching in Visual Forming, History of Art and Culture.

From 2000 Brenda is a teacher of drawing, "Visual Forming" and "C.K.V" ("Cultural Artistic Forming") in secondary school and works in Amsterdam Zuidoost as independant visual artist.

Her work is abstract and has a deep spiritual background, Celtic influences and shows extremities sometimes.
Unseen worlds and dimensions are given image and form.
Strange language is given signs , symbols are simplified, colours are limited all to return to the first image, dynamics are varified, anything is possible.
